Data Logging: Critical for Trending & Analysis

Collection of data for future analysis is critical when gauging where improvements in an electrical system are required.  It is nearly impossible (and costly) to manually view and analyze power and energy consumption patterns in a system.  Therefore one of the primary benefits of using data logging power meter is the ability to automatically collect data on a 24/7.  Upon activation, power meters with data logging capabilities are typically deployed and left unattended to measure and record information for the duration of the monitoring period.  This allows for a comprehensive, accurate picture of the system conditions being monitored.

Some examples of Data Logging power meters applications are:

1.Recording of Load Profiles for energy consumption management
2.Trend equipment performance to prevent failure and minimize down time
3.Monitoring of relay status (For example in railway signaling) to ensure equipment is working in a safe and timely manner.
