Accessing AcuRev 2000 Readings via Meter Display

Walkthrough explaining how to read a variety of data variables on the AcuRev 2000 meter display.

View Energy Readings
  • On the first screen of the main menu use the right/left arrow buttons until the cursor reaches "E". Then press "OK" to enter the Energy display.
  • From the Energy display:
    • Use the right/left arrow buttons to display the readings for each user
    • Use the up/down arrow buttons to read different energy readings such as energy consumed (imp kWh), energy produced (exp kWh), reactive energy (kvarh) and apparent energy (kVAh) for that user.

Note: The energy display is based on the wiring mode selected.

View Demand Readings
  • On the first screen of the main menu use the right/left arrow buttons until the cursor reaches "D". Then press "OK" to enter the Demand display.
  • From the Demand display:
    • Use the right/left arrow buttons to display the readings for each user
    • Use the up/down arrow buttons to read the different demand readings such as active demand, current demand, predicted and maximum demand for that user.

View Status of I/O
  • On the first screen of the main menu use the right/left arrow buttons until the cursor reaches "IO". Then press "OK" to enter the IO display.
  • From the IO display:
    • Use the up/down arrow buttons to view the three screens in this display.

From the “DI Status” option, the first screen will show the 8 channels of the digital input.

  • A blank circle indicates whether the DI channel status is off or it acts as Pulse Input
  • A solid circle indicates the DI status is on

The second screen shows the RO status of the four Relay Output channels:

  • A blank circle indicates that the RO channel status is off
  • A solid circle indicates that the status of the RO is on

The third screen of the IO Display is the DI status which is for the DI pulse input number. Pressing the LEFT/RIGHT buttons allows the user to select the different channels from 1-8.

  • CONT x indicates the DI channel number
  • PCS indicates pulse number
  • yy indicates the units for the value x.xx, such as 6.15 m3

View Real-Time Readings like Power and Current
  • On the first screen of the main menu use the right/left arrow buttons until the cursor reaches "MUL". Then press "OK" to enter the Real-time display.
  • From the Real-time display:
    • Use the right/left arrow buttons to display the readings for each user.
    • Use the up/down arrow buttons to view the user's readings for real, reactive and apparent power and the current readings.

View Power Quality Display
  • On the second screen of the main menu use the right/left arrow buttons until the cursor reaches "PQ". Then press "OK" to enter the Power Quality display.
  • From the Power Quality display:
    • Use the right/left arrow buttons to display the readings for each user.
    • Use the up/down arrow buttons to view the Power Quality parameters such as current THD, the 2nd to 31st harmonics the K factor and etc.

Note: You can view the voltage THD, voltage harmonics, crest factor, and unbalance from the "Inline" user.

Using Shortcuts
  • On the first screen of the main menu use the right/left arrow buttons until the cursor reaches "M". Then press "OK" to enter the Shortcut display.
  • From the Shortcut display:
  • Use the right/left arrows to the move the cursor between different digits.
  • Use the up/down key to change the value of the digit.
  • Press "OK" to go to the corresponding page.

The shortcut codes consist of five digits.

  • The left most digit is to choose which display to view from, as depicted in Table 1.

  • The second and third digit relate to the screen selection for that display.
  • The two right most digits are for the selection of the user.

When the incorrect code is entered or the selected user number is not enabled then the following will appear:

  • "USER WRONG" or "SCREEN WRONG"

Note: Shortcut codes depend on the type of connection used.

View Meter Firmware and Serial Information
  • On the second screen of the main menu use the right/left arrow buttons until the cursor reaches "INFO". Then press "OK" to enter the Meter Information display.
  • From the Meter Information display:
    • Use the up/down arrow buttons to view information such as the AcuRev version, serial number, run time and date/time of the meter.

Changing AcuRev 2000 Settings
  • On the second screen of the main menu use the right/left arrow buttons until the cursor reaches "Set". Press "Ok" to enter the settings for the AcuRev 2000 series.

For the initial setup of the AcuRev 2000, you will have to set the wire mode, the CT type and ratio. Here are steps to setup the meter using the meter's display.

  • A password screen will appear on which the default password will already be entered, therefore press "OK".

If a password was set:

  • Press "OK" to enter editing mode. The cursor will start to blink so you can change the value of the digits.
  • Press the up/down arrow buttons to increase/decrease the value of the digit.
  • Press the right/left arrow buttons to move the cursor to a different digit.
  • Press "OK" to confirm the changes and stop the cursor from blinking.

Note: Pressing the right and left arrow buttons together at any time will return you to the main menu.

  • Press the right/left arrow buttons to view different settings.

To modify a setting:

  • Press "OK" to enter editing mode.
  • Use the up/down arrow buttons to change the setting.
  • Use right/left arrow keys to move between settings on the display.
  • Press "OK" to confirm setting.

Configure Settings of NET Module
  • On the second screen of the main menu use the right/left arrow buttons until the cursor reaches "Net". Press "Ok" to enter the settings for the AcuRev 2000 series.
  • A password screen will appear on which the default password will already be entered, therefore press "OK" otherwise,

If a password was set:

  • Press "OK" to enter editing mode. The cursor will start to blink so you can change the value of the digits.
  • Press the up/down arrow buttons to increase/decrease the value of the digit.
  • Press the right/left arrow buttons to move the cursor to a different digit.
  • Press "OK" to confirm the changes and stop the cursor from blinking.

The first screen is the P01 DHCP screen. Make sure this is at "MANU" i.e. manual. If it is not at manual:

  • Press "OK" to modify; the parameter will flash
  • Press the up/down arrow button to change the current setting to "MANU"
  • Press "OK" to accept the change

Press the right arrow button to get to P02 IP address screen. Note it down. If you would like to change it:

  • Press "OK" to modify; the first digit will begin to flash.
  • Press the up/down arrow button to change the number on the flashing digit
  • Press right/left arrow button to switch the flashing digit
  • Press "OK" to confirm the change; the digit should stop flashing

  • Press the right arrow button to get to P03 SUBMASK screen. Note this down or change it using the same procedure as above.
  • Press the right arrow button to get to P04 GATEWAY screen. Note this down or change it using the same procedure as above.
  • Press the right arrow button to get to P05 DNS1 screen. Note this down or change it using the same procedure as above.
  • Press the right arrow button to get to P06 DNS2 screen. Note this down or change it using the same procedure as above.
  • Press the right arrow button to get to P07 Modbus TCP/IP PORT screen. Note this down or change it using the same procedure as above.
  • Press the right arrow button to get to P08 HTTP PORT screen. Note this down or change it using the same procedure as above.
  • Press the right arrow button to get to P09 NET RESET screen. You will need to RESET the module after making any changes in this section. This will load the changes onto the module. To do this:
    • Press "OK" to modify; "No" should begin to flash.
    • Press the up arrow button to change "No" to "Reset Module".
    • Press "OK" to reset the module. "Reset Module" will stop flashing and the NET module settings should now be changed.
  • Press the right arrow button to get to P10 Net Password Reset screen.
    • Press "OK" to modify; "No" should begin to flash
    • Press the up/down arrow button to change "No" to "Yes"
    • Press "OK" to reset the module. "No" will be displayed on the screen and the NET module's password has been reset to the default "12345678"
