PROTECTIVE RELAY
ROGOWSKI COIL INTEGRATOR

The RIK 1AR is a protection relay class Rogowski Integrator. This plug-and-play solution is designed to streamline the installation and configuration process between the sensor and protection relay, power meter, or other device with a 1A nominal input. It pairs with a Rogowski coil to easily install in places where spatial constraints or conductor size prohibit the use of rigid-body current transformers.

RIK 1AR Overview

What is a Protection Relay?

A protection relay is an intelligent device found in electric power systems that is responsible for safeguarding sensitive electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, transmission lines, or generators from abnormal power conditions. They receive input from instrument transformers, such as flexible Rogowski current sensors connected via an integrator, and compare the incoming values to a set value (trip value) to detect when a fault has occurred. In response, a circuit breaker is tripped to isolate the fault from the rest of the system and prevent damage.

RIK 1AR Rogwoski Coil Accessory.
Rogowski Coils

RIK 1AR is compatible with Accuenergy's RCTxx-1000 line of Rogowski coil sensors. With four standard lengths 16", 24", 36", and 47" to choose from, it can easily fit into tight spaces. The non-invasive design is rated for high accuracy 0.5% measurements and a frequency response range of 10Hz-20kHz.

Power Supply

Accuenergy's PSU-240-24 power supply is compatible with RIK 1AR. PSU-240-24 is a 100-240Vac DIN-rail mount power supply that is conveniently installed in electrical enclosures. RIK 1AR must only use 24Vdc power supply with 100-240Vac input.
