AcuTEMS RM Overview

How to choose a Room Mount Temperature Sensor?

Room mount temperature sensor designed for indoor environments such as offices, laboratories, hospitals, and schools, using resistance-based sensing elements, 100Ω Platinum, 1KΩ Platinum or Nickel RTDs, and 10KΩ Type II/III or 20KΩ thermistors, that vary resistance with temperature to deliver accurate data to Building Automation System (BAS) controllers. Equipped with a four-way aspiration enclosure to reduce self-heating and ensure uniform airflow across the sensing element for stable, undisturbed temperature measurement. Supports flush mounting to a standard single gang junction box or direct surface installation. An optional LCD is available when configured with a transmitter for local temperature readout.

Room Temperature Monitoring

AcuTEMS RM measures room temperature with up to ±0.2°C accuracy, working with BAS controllers and other devices to ensure a comfortable temperature level for the occupants. The LCD screen can also display the current temperature with a swift response time of less than 10 seconds.

Energy Optimization

AcuTEMS RM works together with the AcuTEMS OA outdoor sensor to create a feedback system that utilizes outdoor air to cool or heat the room without relying on HVAC equipment, minimizing energy use while improving energy efficiency.

AcuTEMS RM FAQs

What is the Difference between AcuTEMS RM and AcuTEMS WP?

AcuTEMS RM is a room-mount temperature sensor with both resistance and analog output, offering 4-20mA and 0-10VDC options. AcuTEMS RM also features an optional LCD with 0.1°C (0.1°F) resolution.

AcuTEMS WP is a room temperature sensor that can be flush-mounted into the wall, equipped with a 304 stainless steel housing for robust protection. Commonly used for secure, low-profile installations, it offers multiple resistive temperature sensing options but does not include a transmitter output.
