Yes. The AcuIOM can operate as a standalone remote I/O module or be paired with compatible Accuenergy power and energy meters to expand system-level monitoring, data acquisition, and control capabilities. It is suitable for applications that require additional analog inputs, analog outputs, digital inputs, digital outputs, or relay outputs.
Yes. AcuIOM supports open communication protocols, including Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet MS/TP, and BACnet/IP, allowing integration with compatible PLCs, SCADA systems, building management systems, gateways, and other automation platforms.
The device limit will depend on the AcuIOM model, each model supports a different number of input/output functions.
AcuIOM does not include a built-in webserver. Configuration and commissioning are performed through Acuview 2 software. Web-based monitoring or control can be supported when AcuIOM is integrated with a compatible gateway or web-enabled host system.
For RS485 communication, the maximum recommended cable distance is 1200 m. Actual communication performance depends on cable type, baud rate, installation environment, number of connected devices, termination, grounding, and electrical noise conditions. For Ethernet communication, standard Ethernet installation practices and distance limits should be followed.
Analog output scaling is configured through Acuview 2 software. Users can select the analog output signal type, engineering unit, output high and low limits, and signal curve settings. Once configured, the AO channel can output a voltage or current signal based on commands from a PLC, DCS, gateway, or other compatible host system.
AcuIOM analog output channels support selectable voltage and current output ranges, including 0–10 V, 2–10 V, 0–20 mA, and 4–20 mA. The 0–5 V output range is not listed as a standard AO range.
AcuIOM can be integrated into an Accuenergy monitoring system through compatible communication and gateway devices. AcuCloud connectivity depends on the overall system architecture and the gateway, or host device used in the installation.
Yes, AcuIOM can be used with compatible HMI systems through supported communication protocols such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet MS/TP, or BACnet/IP. Integration depends on the selected HMI model, protocol support, and system configuration.
AcuIOM does not include native wireless communication. It supports wired RS485, Ethernet, and USB communication. Wireless access may be implemented through an external wireless router, bridge, or gateway where required by the application.
The AcuIOM is recommended to be used with an intermediate relay, which controls the output device by switching or turning off its power.
Yes. Multiple AcuIOM modules can be connected within the same system using RS485 or Ethernet communication. Different AcuIOM models can be mixed in the same installation depending on the required I/O configuration. For RS485 networks, proper daisy-chain wiring, termination, grounding, and device addressing are required.
