RESIDUAL CURRENT MONITORING MODULE

The AXM-IO4 expands Acuvim II, Acuvim L, and Acuvim 3 series meters with residual current monitoring and temperature inputs. It supports multi-type residual current sensors, including type B and F to detect leakage current across a range of electrical loads. Temperature sensors, including RTD PT100 and PT1000 for equipment monitoring.

  • Two independent RCM channels with a measurement range from 0-30 mA AC and 0-20 mA DC or 4-20 mA DC.
  • Two temperature inputs using PT100, PT1000, and KTY83, and KTY84 sensor types.
  • RCM accuracy Class 1 IEC 61557-1 (I ≥ 0.5 mA)
  • RTD accuracy up to ±1.5% FS temperature range
  • Supports type A, type AC, type F, and type B for residual current monitoring applications with 1µA resolution and 8kHz sampling.

AXM-IO4 Overview

Residual Current Monitoring Inputs

RCM is used for early detection of abnormal residual currents associated with insulation aging in wires to avoid short circuit conditions. It supports compatible external residual current sensors for AC and DC monitoring, including Type A, Type F, and Type B applications, depending on select sensor configuration.

Temperature Monitoring Inputs

The RTD temperature sensor allows the monitoring of switchboards, transformers, motors, cable terminations, and other critical equipment. Two-wire temperature inputs support platinum-based PT100, PT1000, and silicon-based KTY83, KTY84 sensors.
