Ground Fault Solid-Core Current Transformer

The AcuCT G Series Ground Fault Solid-Core CT is a residual current sensor that detects earth leakage in a power distribution system. All live conductors pass through the single window, and the CT measures the residual current, which is the vector sum of those currents. This value sits near zero in a healthy circuit and rises when leakage occurs, helping identify ground faults, insulation degradation and leakage between 10 mA and 10A. The sensor outputs a proportional mA signal to a connected meter or residual current monitor, which applies the alarm and trip thresholds. The enclosure design is suitable for indoor and protected outdoor installation under various environmental conditions.

Current Transformers for Ground Fault Detection

Ground fault current transformers are designed for ground fault and leakage current detection in power distribution systems. With a transformation ratio of 600: 1 and an accuracy of 5%, it provides an mA output proportional to the input range for residual current monitors. Rated to withstand a short-time thermal current of 15 kA for 1 second and a surge current of 50 kA for 50 ms, it ensures reliable performance under fault conditions.
