Accuenergy Introduces AcuRev 1320 for Revenue Grade Metering and Power Quality Monitoring

Toronto, ON – August 19, 2026 - Accuenergy announces the AcuRev 1320 Series, compact DIN-rail energy meters designed for high-accuracy measurement in tenant billing, data logging, and power quality monitoring for industrial and commercial applications.

Facility managers and engineers in utility metering and energy service companies seek ways to track power quality parameters. This data helps verify energy consumption against billing and ensure electrical conditions remain within applicable power quality limits. The financial impact can be significant; power quality issues are estimated to cost about $1.2 billion annually to businesses in Canada. Similarly, the industrial sector in the U.S. has reported annual losses of up to $230 billion due to power quality disturbances.

Power quality can also affect facility performance. Poor power quality accelerates equipment degradation, leading to frequent component failure. It decreases energy efficiency as systems draw excess current to handle harmonics, resulting in higher utility bills. Harmonic distortion can increase electrical losses and thermal stress, while voltage disturbances can cause electrical and control systems to trip or reset.

As facilities become more reliant on electrical and digital infrastructure, visibility into both energy consumption and power quality becomes increasingly important. AcuRev 1320 Series provides accurate energy measurement data for tenant billing or cost allocation.

"Energy measurement helps to sum up the amount of electricity consumed, but it does not indicate why an electrical system is behaving the way it is," said Ryan Manbahal, Product Manager at Accuenergy. "The AcuRev 1320 Series brings accurate energy measurement and system performance visibility into a single platform, giving users the information needed to understand energy better and investigate power quality issues."

The AcuRev 1320 Series complies with IEC 62053-22 Class 0.1S, making it suitable for critical energy accounting applications. Flexible current input options and configurable channel mapping simplify integration into different electrical systems. It also supports dual-source energy application, enabling separate accumulation of energy from two sources. Source selection is controlled through switching logic, allowing users to distinguish energy from each source.

For facilities that need more than energy consumption data, the AcuRev-1322 model includes power quality monitoring as per IEC 61000-4-30 Class S to identify electrical disturbances. It supports waveform recording and detects power quality events including voltage sag, swell, unbalance, and flicker.

Installation is also a key consideration in the AcuRev 1320 Series. Its terminal design streamlines wiring and routing within electrical panels, while DIN-rail mounting and a compact footprint help maximize panel space.

The AcuRev 1320 Series provides historical data through three independently configurable data loggers and one trend logger. Audit logs focus on compliance, while system event logs support fault detection and troubleshooting. The AcuRev 1320 Series integrates with building and industrial automation systems through Modbus RS485 and dual Ethernet ports.

By combining IEC 62053-22 Class 0.1S revenue-grade energy measurement and advanced electrical system monitoring, the AcuRev 1320 Series provides a single platform for measuring energy and insights into system performance.
