Accuenergy Launches AXM-IO4 Module for Residual Current Monitoring
Toronto, ON - August 13, 2026 - Accuenergy introduces the AXM-IO4, a new residual current and temperature monitoring module, expanding the capabilities of the Acuvim II, Acuvim L, and Acuvim 3 series power meters.
Facilities are placing greater emphasis on electrical reliability and preventive maintenance by monitoring residual current and temperature to detect leakage current, insulation deterioration, wiring faults, and other equipment abnormalities. Early detection is crucial for operators to address developing electrical problems before it results in unexpected downtime and system failure by helping reduce material costs associated with repairs, production interruptions, and operational disruptions. As electrical systems increasingly include mixed AC and DC loads, residual current monitoring adds valuable insight into system conditions.
The AXM-IO4 provides two current monitoring inputs supporting type A, type AC, type F, and type B sensors. It features a CT secondary measurement range of 0-30 mA AC, as well as 0-20 mA DC or 4-20 mA DC. The two temperature inputs support PT100, PT1000, KTY83 and KTY84 sensors ranging from -99°C to 500°C. AXM-IO4 integrates monitoring of residual current and equipment temperature within the Accuenergy metering platform. This eliminates the need for distinct monitoring devices incorporating measurements, alarms, communications, and data logging into a single system.
The AXM-IO4 RCM and RTD module when paired with Acuvim II, L, or 3 provides system integrators more options to add in-field upgrades with other communication modules for more applications in industrial installations such as distribution panels, inverters, solar systems, EV chargers, UPS systems, power electronics, and HVAC equipment.
