Accuenergy Launches New AcuCT G Series Ground Fault Solid-Core Current Transformers

Toronto, ON - April 16, 2026 - Accuenergy today announced the launch of the AcuCT G Series Ground Fault Solid-Core Current Transformers, a new line of high-sensitivity current sensors designed to detect ultra-low level leakage currents in electrical distribution systems, supporting improved safety, equipment protection, and predictive maintenance.

Demand for ground fault and leakage current monitoring is steadily increasing as electrical systems grow more complex and electrification expands across commercial and industrial applications, driving greater adoption of low-level current imbalance detection technologies.

The AcuCT G Series is engineered to measure current imbalance in conductors, enabling early detection of ground faults, insulation degradation, and unintended leakage currents. With a detection range spanning from ≥ 10 mA ≤ 10 A (100 A), the AcuCT G can perform under electrical stress conditions with a 5% accuracy across 1–120% of rated current for ground fault measurement, a short-time thermal current rating of 15 kA for 1 second, and a surge current withstand capability of up to 50 kA for 50 ms.

The AcuCT G Series supports applications across commercial buildings, industrial facilities, data centers, and critical infrastructure where continuous monitoring of electrical integrity is essential. By identifying abnormal current leakage early, facility operators gain improved visibility into electrical system behavior and potential fault conditions, supporting more informed maintenance and operational decisions.

Key Capabilities Include:
  • Short-Time Thermal Current (STTC) rated at 15 kA for 1 second
  • Surge rated current can withstand 50 kA/50ms
  • High-sensitivity leakage detection between ≥10 mA to ≤ 10 A (100A) range
  • Ground fault and insulation monitoring capability for fault identification
  • Solid-core form-factor and twisted-pair leads for long-term stability and reliability
  • Non-invasive current imbalance measurement for safe installation
  • Suitable for indoor and protected outdoor environments
